What is your name, and what is your job title at Chopper Monster?
Iván Pérez, owner, general manager or 'chico para todo'
Tell us more about Chopper Monster! When did you open and what's changed since then?
Chopper Monster open 10 years ago. We opened the first custom bicycle shop in Spain but we also sell clothes, music, and housewares. Our main focus is rock ́n roll, custom culture, punk and freak stuff. Since 2005 we have changed a lot of things, but our attitude is exactly the same. We ́re a small shop trying to bring funny things for different people.
What did you do before Chopper Monster?
I was computer engineer. A terrible job, trust me.
What's the best part about your job?
I get to meet all the interesting people who came to Chopper Monster.
What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?
Botillo, a very strange food from the northwest of Spain, my home. Botillo is like a rugby ball. It isa bomb with pork meat, and hot paprika pepper. Delicious, especially with cold weather and red wine.
What is the most important appliance in your home?
May be the record player and the vacuum cleaner, my cat is so dirty.
Do you have any irrational fears?
To have foolish people close to me is my worst fear.
Do you like Sci-Fi movies?
Of course !!
What's your favorite?
I don't know. Last Sunday I was watching Fantastic Voyage, Ireally like it, but I can't say what my favorite is.
Have you ever ridden a camel?No, but I know some people named “Camel” in Spanish, but I'll never ride them.
What are you most excited about in the coming months?
I bought an old 4x4 with my father to customize with him. The idea is go to the south of Morocco next month with a charity rally. Maybe then I can ride a camel!!
