Vintage Hairstyling Made Easy!

vhme_1 Have you been trying to get that pinup perfect hair? Do you find victory rolls and pin curl styled 'dos incredibly frustrating? Thanks to Lauren Rennells of vintagehairstyling.com and her perfect hair tools, vintage hairstyling is now made easy and we're so excited to be carrying them! The most recent product is the Roll & Go Hair Tool™. It is a double-sided round comb and is a great help with your Victory rolls! One end has a larger circumference for larger rolls and the other side is a little smaller for smaller sized rolls, giving you endless possibilities. It makes wrapping hair into uniform, round tube shapes a snap. The Roll & Go Hair Tool™ also comes with a 32 page how to book complete with color photos and step-by-step instructions to help you create some of the best vintage curls in town. vhme_2 This video was put out by Vintage Hairstyling and helps to explain how the tool works as well as how to style this cute up-do! Another product of theirs that we carry is the Sculpture Pin Curl Tool. It is a reproduction of an actual styling tool used in the mid-20th century to aid women in creating fast, uniform curls. It also comes with a 50-page instruction booklet which provides detailed directions on pin curls, its many forms and uses, and styling vintage curls and waves. vhme_3 If you're looking for other products to help achieve these looks may we suggest... vhme_4 The two complimentary books that are chock full of ideas and tips: Vintage Hairstyling and Create Vintage Inspired Wedding Hairstyles, both by Lauren Rennells. Our Slick & 17 Stray Cats Pomade is a light hold and perfect for taming fly aways and prepping and smoothing your hair to better go into rolled shapes. Of course, all pretty pinup 'dos need a little added flair...like these rhinestone covered plastic bone barrettes from Kreepsville 666. If you've tried these tools out, we'd love to see!
